When asked to frame sculptures and objects we use very deep moulding, building a real box to house the works.
The first two images are cabinets we made to display carved soap by prisoners for an exhibition at the South bank run by the Koestler trust. We built shelves to house each intricately carved bars.
Similarly for the framed artists book, we built a shelf across to help hold the weight of the book.
The photograph was mounted onto aluminium and then floats within a box frame with 20mm shadow gap.
The final canvas by Keith Cunningham was for an exhibition of his brilliant paintings of skulls and jazz musicians, the canvases where floating in deep white box frames and anti-reflective art glass.
